Object identification
STid designs, manufactures and sells products specifically targeted at the identification market, especially for applications related to tracking "critical" objects.
Industry-specific approach
The RFID technology developed by STid offers sizeable benefits for companies looking to improve their product tracking processes. The innovative solutions and products offered by STid meet the specific requirements and constraints in many business areas such as the agri-food, aeronautical and healthcare industries. Each industry has specific technical, regulatory, functional and financial constraints. STid's industry-specific product ranges are designed to offer premium performance. We ensure our customers benefit from all our industry expertise to meet their challenges in product identification.

Your contactless identification project
At the start of any product identification and tracking project, we will discuss your company's activities (processes, infrastructure, etc.) and the key issues involved:
- Cutting operating costs by streamlining the supply chain and production processes
- Improving quality
- Preventing counterfeits
- Ensuring compliance with regulations and standards
Our project development experience and technological expertise gives you the assurance of a successful project with optimum outcomes.
Stage 1: Demonstration
The first stage is to analyse project feasibility. A demo is built, often featuring a variety of technologies and frequencies, in order to assess the reliability of RFID for the solution. The demo may often be no more than a laboratory prototype.
Stage 2: POC (Proof of concept)
The second stage is to test the concept. An initial system is installed in its environment and tested in real operating conditions. POC focuses on the radiofrequency identification process and its reliability, and slimmed-down interfaces with information management system are used at this stage. This is when STid confirms the budget for roll-out of a full solution.
Stage 3: Pre-industrialisation
This stage involves an initial production run and installation in real conditions. The interfaces with the information management systems are fully implemented and tested.
Stage 4: Industrialisation and full-scale deployment
The solution is validated and the main aim is to reduce production costs without compromising on system quality or reliability.
The success of STid identification solutions draws on the fact that the key issue in RFID usage is the high operating and installation costs, rather than the initial capital investment.
Only when all the identification terminals are equipped and operating will a logistics solution start to work effectively and pay off. All STid readers are easy to incorporate into existing infrastructure, without incurring additional existing hardware and software investment costs. The "Plug & Play" installation method used for STid readers makes for a fast and inexpensive deployment process that does not require a RF Engineer to be present at each site. Full roll-out can take just a few days, with savings on the installation costs.
The STid range of readers are competitively priced and benefit from economies of scale due to optimised electronics and standardised technologies.
STid interview - "Assises de la RFID"
The French administrative division and European countries are more and more interested in RFID. It’s for this reason that the DGCIS has organized the first “assises of the RFID” the 10th of May. Sylvain Poitrat, Technical Director of STid, has presented all the innovative projects STid has carried out in conjunction with different partners.
